Jagger Jones is the grandson of legendary racer and 1963 Indy 500 winner, Parnelli Jones – currently driving for Cape Motorsports in INDY NXT by Firestone.
Jagger’s racing career launched at a young age. Following a childhood of watching his family race, he drove a go-kart at the age of 6, and his own passion for motorsports instantly sparked. Jagger went on to win the ‘National Karting Championship’, earning the opportunity to race in Europe. Returning to the US after 2 years, Jagger focused on a NASCAR career with great success. In 2019, he finished 2nd in the ARCA West Championship, winning the race in Roseville, CA, and earning Rookie of the Year honors. After a two-year racing hiatus, Jagger shifted his focus to open-wheel racing winning at Barber Motorsports Park and Rookie of the Year honors in the USF 2000 Series.
Jagger’s passions and success extend both on and off the track. Jagger is a Dean’s List student at High Point University (NC), studying business and finance. He enjoys physical training, mountain biking, off-roading, fraternity brotherhood, charitable work, and sim racing.
Jagger’s racing aspirations are high – win in INDY NXT and carry the Jones family legacy in motorsports all the way back to the Indianapolis 500!
